About the Role
Mental Health and Psychosocial Support for LGBTQ+ Migrants INC., an Immigrant LGBTQ+ nonprofit organization, is seeking dedicated volunteers for the role of Volunteer Remote LGBTQ+ Marketing Associate. As a marketing associate, you will contribute to promoting the organization's mission, increasing visibility, and raising awareness about LGBTQ+ issues within the immigrant community.
Responsibilities:
1. Marketing Strategy:
• Collaborate with the organization's marketing team to develop and implement marketing strategies that align with Mental Health and Psychosocial Support for LGBTQ+ Migrants INC.'s mission and goals.
• Assist in creating marketing plans and campaigns to promote the organization's programs, events, and initiatives.
2. Social Media Management:
• Manage and update the organization's social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) with relevant content and engaging posts.
• Create and share LGBTQ+-related content, news, stories, and resources to engage the Immigrant community and raise awareness about LGBTQ+ issues.
• Monitor social media engagement, respond to comments or messages, and actively participate in online conversations related to LGBTQ+ topics.
3. Content Creation:
• Create compelling and informative content, including blog posts, articles, infographics, videos, or newsletters, to educate and engage the target audience.
• Collaborate with the organization's team members and volunteers to gather content, stories, and testimonials that highlight the impact of Mental Health and Psychosocial Support for LGBTQ+ Migrants INC.'s work.
4. Graphic Design:
• Design visually appealing graphics, banners, and promotional materials for online and offline use, ensuring consistency with the organization's branding guidelines.
• Develop eye-catching visuals to accompany social media posts, blog articles, and other marketing materials.
5. Community Outreach:
• Assist in identifying and engaging with key community partners, influencers, and organizations to expand Mental Health and Psychosocial Support for LGBTQ+ Migrants INC.'s reach and collaborations.
• Support the planning and execution of virtual events, fundraisers, or awareness campaigns to foster community engagement and support.
Requirements
Requirements:
Strong passion for LGBTQ+ advocacy, equality, and creating inclusive spaces.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and any other language.
Familiarity with social media platforms and experience in managing social media accounts for organizations or causes.
Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Canva) to create visually appealing content.
Basic understanding of marketing principles and strategies.
Creative thinking and ability to generate innovative ideas for marketing campaigns.
Knowledge of LGBTQ+ issues and an understanding of the unique challenges faced by the Immigrant LGBTQ+ community.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines.
Previous experience in marketing, social media management, content creation, or graphic design is preferred but not required.
This is a volunteer position that offers flexible scheduling. The time commitment required will depend on project needs and your availability.
